Soraia Andersen’s practice begins with colour and form, and opens onto something human. Working through painting, drawing and collage, she explores geometric abstraction as a language of relationships: between shapes, between colours, between structure and the feeling that interrupts it. A composition can hold tension and playfulness, stillness and movement. Its clarity need not mean simplicity. There is room within it for more than one truth.
An award-winning fine artist, Andersen has exhibited in the UK, USA and Canada, and her work is held in numerous private collections. The exhibition remains an important point of encounter: a work on a wall, a title, a name, and the space for another person to look and find their own response.
Farbe London extends this practice into the places and rituals of everyday life. Colour and form move from the exhibition wall into objects that can be held, used and lived alongside. This is not a separate story, but a widening of the same artistic world, allowing a composition to meet a different light, a familiar room, a private moment.
At the centre is an interest in people as they are: complex, contradictory, unfinished. Art offers a way of looking closer without demanding a neat explanation. Through her fine art practice and through Farbe London, Andersen invites that continuing encounter, with colour, with another point of view, and with something of ourselves.
